Schuylkill Elementary School’s 2nd graders visit the Phoenixville Historical Society

Schuylkill Elementary School's 2nd grade visit to the Phoenixville Historical Society.

We were thrilled to have Schuylkill Elementary School’s 2nd grade come to visit the Phoenixville Historical Society this November. All the kids toured the museum and got a first-hand look at some of the historical pieces we have.

We always welcome children to view the artifacts in the museum. Items of special interest to children of various ages are displayed allowing children to handle the objects whenever feasible. Our museum guides relate the artifacts to children’s experiences in today’s world. Society representatives go to schools and other gatherings to bring museum artifacts to children as well as to adults.

If you are a teacher or program planner, please contact the Historical Society about subjects and available times for museum visits.
