This auction will benefit the Historical Society of the Phoenixville Area. Our main goal is to keep the history of Phoenixville alive and share our over 45,000 artifacts with YOU! Don’t worry – any items that are Phoenixville-related are ones we have 2 or more of in our collections or are items that do not fit our mission. You can help by purchasing items, telling friends and family about the auction, and donating other items for future sales.
This auction is a mixture of donations. Over 20 lots include 14 kt gold or Sterling Silver. There is lots of local art, in both Phoenixville and Chester County. The Albert Von Nesse Greene artwork is an original pastel on sandpaper. He is an artist who died in 1971 and his art has exploded in value since his passing. Another featured piece of art is a framed mixed media by a local artist G. Y. Yarnall. Many household and kitchen items are included, such as Le Creuset Cast Iron Cookware, and other cast iron pieces. We also are offering vintage Coke bottles in an original wooden crate, 45 rpm records (Beatles and many rock & rollers), marbles, Hummels, postcards, and even a turquoise fan. There are modern items like an AC unit that has a vent out the window and high-end audio speakers. Over 10 lots include authentic African Art acquired by the donor on numerous African safaris. I’m sure I have missed some items but make sure you don’t miss any of the 120 lots.
Maxsold does not charge charities fees. We get 100% of the money raised. They do charge a buyer’s premium, to the winning bidder, to cover hosting costs, advertising, and credit card usage. They also stagger the ending of each auction, so everything does not end at once. If a bid is received in the last 2 minutes, it will extend bidding on that item for 2 minutes more. This will continue until no new bids are made.
This auction is now open and will end on Wednesday, July 12th around 8:15 pm
Please bid often and bid a lot!
