Donating Historical Items

INTERESTED IN DONATING HISTORICAL ITEMS TO HSPA?
The Historical Society seeks donations of:
- historical artifacts
- photographs
- yearbooks
- majolica
- materials related to the history of Phoenixville and the surrounding area
We also seek genealogy information from the public as well as old photographs of the area, schools, churches, community organizations, etc.
Photos do not have to be donated to the Society because HSPA can borrow your photos or negatives for scanning into our Photo Archives. All original photos or negatives will be returned if so requested.
We have a collection of Phoenixville High School Yearbooks since they were first published in 1930. Researchers visiting our library find these publications to be valuable resources for family history. We would like to fill the “holes” in our collection and would welcome donations of yearbooks for the following years: 1986, 2008, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2015, and 2018.
Prior to 1930, Phoenixville High School published smaller booklets called “Purple and White” as commencement issues and additional issues in some years. We seek issues of the “Purple and White” for the following years: 1905, 1912,1914, 1915, and 1916. None were published from 1917 to 1920.
We also have Phoenixville Area Junior High School Yearbooks. We would like to have donated yearbooks for the years 1962 to 1966, 1974, and 1983 to 1992.
We also have yearbooks from the Northern Chester County Technical School (now known as Cat-Pickering) covering some of the years 1982 to 1989. We would appreciate donations of yearbooks covering the following years: 1973, 1975, 1976, 1977, 1978, 1980, 1981, 1983, 1990, 1991, 1992, 1993, 1994, 1995, and 2000 to the present.
